A New yarn line from Firefly Fiber arts studio
Introducing Earthly, an all natural, sustainable, local, eco-friendly yarn line! We’ve worked closely with mills in the US to create this new and inspiring yarn line!
About the Wool
Our first line features wool from Marathon Basin Wool, located in Marathon, TX. This sheep ranch and mill uses sustainable practices to raise Debouilette sheep, producing a fine wool that is then milled into yarn.
Their sustainable, eco-friendly, and regenerative practices creates a natural yarn line, with zero synthetic processes from farm to mill.

About the Dyes
We’re using all natural Bengala Mud Dyes to create a soft, earthy palette. These ancient pigment dyes come from the earth, making them 100% earth friendly.
No heat or chemical mordants are needed to dye, keeping the wool chemically unchanged and allows us to save on water use. Because the dye is naturally sourced, there is no special disposal, it’s safe for waterways, the soil, and you.
