Head to Toes

Two things happened this week. I got my hair cut and I got new shoes. Naturally, since all I have been focusing on is my head and toes, I was inspired to create a post on crafters favorite accessories, hats and socks! No one likes a cold head or cold feet, and these patterns are not only functional, but stylish as well. They are pretty quick patterns, which means they make great gifts or a distraction from your other project in "time out" (we all have that one project that just can't behave!) Last but not least, I have included some fun and free stash busting patterns at the bottom! Enjoy and happy making!

Castaway Hat by Mamachee

This isn't just the run of the mill slouchy hat. With alternating stitch patterns, this hat is a texture lovers dream. I paired Woolfolk's FAR with this pattern because it's braided structure will show off the stitches beautifully. With multiple colors, you can really have fun creating this hat with a custom look. This pattern is designed for baby through adult, so you can make one for the whole family!

What you'll need:
Hook size: H (5mm)
Yardage: 80 - 260 yards
Weight: Worsted
Suggested Yarn: 1 skein each of Woolfolk's FAR, in colors #18 & #20
