Get over your fear of intarsia with this fun workshop! Intarsia knitting might sound intimidating, but with a few tips & tricks, you'll be incorporating bold motifs into your knitting in no time. Intarsia is a tool that can take the simplest stitches to a whole new level.
Needles are not included, but will be available at the shop at the time of the workshop. If you prefer to bring your own needles, you'll need a pair of US 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needles with at least a 16" cable to work on.
Knitting basics with familiarity with colorwork.
2 hours of Instruction by Heidi Gustad
Practice yarn in worsted weight.
3 person minimum, 8 person maximum.
This workshop is the perfect introduction to get you started on this Fall's Read Along Knit Along (RALKAL), Intarsia Mountain by Heidi Gustad. We'll be reading and knitting along to the book, The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. Join us every Friday in September and October to discuss, knit, and hangout with our In Real Life RALKAL event! For this event, a minimum of 3 students must be signed up 24 hours before the event start time. If this event does not meet the minimum requirements within the 24 hour time frame, we reserve the right to cancel the event. If this occurs, we will email all current ticket holders with updates and a full refund.
