Summer Craft Camp for Kids
Get ready for an unforgettable summer of creativity, fun, and crafting at Firefly Fiber Arts Studio! Our Summer Craft Camp for Kids is the perfect opportunity for young artists to explore a variety of exciting and engaging craft projects.
From yarn weaving and friendship bracelet making, to tie-dyeing and rock painting, our campers will have the chance to explore a wide range of crafts. Our camps are structured to offer a variety of craft activities campers can choose to work on for the day. In addition to indoor crafting, we'll take advantage of the summer sunshine with outdoor craft sessions at Unity Park (2 blocks away) and nature-inspired projects. It's the perfect blend of creativity and fresh air!
Expert Instruction: Our experienced instructor, Sarah Abram, is passionate about nurturing creativity and will guide campers through each project with patience and enthusiasm. We prioritize creating a supportive and encouraging environment where kids can feel confident to explore their artistic abilities.
Sarah Abram has taught fiber arts from grade school to high school levels. She currently works as a Special Education Classroom Assistant at Funston Elementary, leading the after school Crochet Club. Before this, she taught fiber arts at After School Matters for five years. She has a 6-year-old son and loves to encourage creativity and skill with every young person she meets!
Registration: Camp is open for campers aged 7 - 12 yrs of age.
Our summer craft camp runs from July 1 to August 2, from 9am - 12pm, Mondays - Fridays. Registration is available weekly.
Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your child's spot in our Summer Craft Camp for Kids. Registration closes June 24, 2024.

Terms and Conditions
Payment
Full payment is required upon registration. Due to limited available space, there are no refunds on summer camp weeks. Firefly Fiber Arts Studio reserves the right to cancel or substitute weekly camps if we have less than 20% registration. If a weekly camp is canceled by Firefly Fiber Arts Studio, a refund will be issued only for the week canceled. Firefly Fiber Arts Studio does not offer make-up days.
E-mail Communications
We use email as our primary means of communication for confirmations of registration, receipts, and general correspondence. Please check your email provider’s spam protection to ensure that firefly@fireflyfiberarts.com is defined as a safe address so that emails from us will not be blocked.
Primary Language
The language spoken at camp is English, so a basic knowledge is a prerequisite. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you confirm the ability of your child to have sufficient language skills for participation in Firefly’s Summer Craft Camp.
Camper Behavior and Conduct
Firefly’s Summer Craft Camp fosters an uplifting and creative environment. Using profanity, disparaging dialogues, physical violence or threatening behavior during participation in Firefly’s Summer Craft Camp is strictly prohibited. If a camper is continually disruptive, creates a toxic environment, or is a danger to themselves and the group, Firefly Fiber Arts has the right to dismiss the camper from continued participation in the camp. Parents/Guardians will be contacted and asked to pick up the child as soon as possible. If a camper is dismissed for the above reasons, no refund will be issued.
Special Needs or Behavioral Disorders:
Firefly Fiber Arts Studio’s Summer Craft Camp is not equipped for campers with special needs or behavioral disorders. If you'd like to make sure your child is a good fit for our camp, please email us at firefly@fireflyfiberarts.com
Lice Policy:
If we discover your child has lice while they are at camp, staff will contact you to come to pick up your child as soon as possible. Students must be lice free before returning to camp.
Medications:
Our staff is unable to give regularly scheduled daily medications, so please administer those to your child before or after camp, or come by during the day if necessary.
Health Requirements:
Your child must be symptom and fever-free for 24 hours before they can participate in camp activities. If your child develops symptoms or a fever while at camp, we will contact you and ask you to pick up your child as soon as possible.
Emergency:
Firefly Fiber Arts Studio has the authorization to act in their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention.
Fees for Late Pick Ups:
Please arrive on time to pick up your child each day. Pick-Ups more than fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled end time are considered LATE PICK-UPS. All late pick-ups will be charged a $25 fee. An additional $10 fee will be charged for each 15-minute block of time thereafter until your child has been picked up.
Food & Snacks:
Parents/Guardians are responsible for all food and beverages for their child. Please be sure to send a water bottle plus a snack for your child.
Marketing:
Firefly Fiber Arts Studio has permission to use photos of you child and their creative pieces for publicity / advertising.
