24 sts = 4” in Old Shale lace pattern

Errata
The original version of this pattern contained a mistake in the first note in Section 1a regarding stitch marker placements. The note should read: k19, place marker, *k18, place marker, repeat from * to last 8 sts, k5, k2tog, k1. The pattern has been corrected and any new downloads will have this mistake omitted.
