Learn the basics of bobbin lace making in this exciting workshop brought to you by L.A.C.E., the Lacemaker's and Collector's Exchange! Bobbin Lace is a traditional textile craft that braids and twists threads together to create lace. Using “bobbins” to organize these threads, different lace designs can be created by hand! In this workshop, students will be creating a sampler bookmark, learning how to start a project, how to make the cloth stitch, whole stitch, and half stitch, and how to finish the project. Students will leave the class having made their own lace bookmark!
Materials are provided during the class, but cannot be taken home. If you are interested in take home materials, a beginner set is available for purchase at the end of class from the L.A.C.E Guild.
No experience required, this workshop is open to beginners.
