Learn how to crochet a granny square and put it together into a cozy balaclava! In this class, we will go over the basics of creating a granny square, including how to read a crochet chart. We will also cover multiple ways to sew the squares together, and finishing methods.

In this workshop, each week progresses to the next step outlined by the instructor. This class includes “homework” that will need to be done outside of class for the next session. Any missed classes will need to be made up during the week, before the next class.

This workshop has a 3 person minimum.

Prerequisites

Must be confident with basic crochet stitches including the chain stitch, single crochet stitch, and double crochet stitch.

Materials Required

• Worsted weight yarn - as many colors as you like! I suggest at least three colors.

• US I/9 - 5.5mm crochet hook

• 4.5 hours of instruction by Sarah

All students will receive 10% off yarn and needles needed for the workshop.
