This pattern uses worsted weight yarn, to make it easier to learn the techniques needed to create socks. Sarah will guide you through the many techniques used in sock knitting from casting on, to turning the heel, to grafting the toe, with helpful tips along the way.

This workshop runs for three Saturdays in a row and covers techniques in the pattern as needed.

Try your hand at stranded colorwork, a technique using two strands of yarn to create graphic motifs in your knitting! For this workshop, we’ll be learning how to to work stranded colorwork, or sometimes referred to as Fair Isle colorwork, while making the Underwing Mitts designed by Erica Heusser.

Make these striking mittens, all while learning to work the stranded colorwork technique, hot to read a colorwork chart, work the duplicate stitch, as well as being introduced to some basic shaping methods.
